7 days on / 7 days off schedule, 3rd shift, overnight, Every other weekend included in the rotation, Holidays worked if they fall during the scheduled week, No on-call requirements, Ability to perform the job while standing, walking, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing, and compounding, Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required, Comply with influenza prevention program, Obtain an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtain an approved exemption
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma/GED, Ability to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compounds, Basic computer skills, Active registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP)
Nice to Have
Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program, Six months of hospital experience, Prior inpatient experience
What You'll Do.
Prepare medications through selecting
non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding
Deliver medications to appropriate storage locations
Maintain accurate inventories of medications and supplies
Complete inventory audits
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Document regulatory requirements
Use information systems
technology and automation
Assist with training of pharmacy caregivers and students
