What They're Looking For.

Must Have

High school diploma required, Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required, Basic Life Support/CPR training as required by licensure or certification, Minimum of three months of Pharmacy Technician or related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties, Ability to read and interpret medication orders written by physicians, mathematical skills to perform medication-related computations

Nice to Have

Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred and strongly valued in this customer-facing role

What You'll Do.

Perform duties assigned by a licensed pharmacist or dispensing prescriber

Ensure all work is checked regularly for quality control

following the standards of practice as outlined in the department operations manual

Complete training to gain basic knowledge of pharmacy operations

medication calculations

and preparation of medications for patient use

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is completed and up-to-date

Prepare prescriptions in compliance with pharmacy law and practice standards

Participate in pharmacy technician meetings

exchanging ideas to achieve department goals

Keep the pharmacy technician manual updated to train new personnel and provide quick references for specific jobs

Regularly check and remove expired medications from stock to ensure safety

Continue education through required continuing education courses and stay updated on policy changes

Adhere to the Agency's compliance standards as outlined in the Corporate Compliance Policy

and Conflict of Interest Policy

Stay informed of all relevant federal

and agency regulations

including modifications

Perform other duties as assigned
