As a nationally recognized and respected leader for providing “A-rated” patient care and safety, MHS prides itself on being able to grow and adapt to the rapidly evolving needs of our community and healthcare industry. **Summary:** The registered pharmacy technician I works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the pharmacy department. Additionally, provides a high level of assistance in distribution, dispensing, and compounding of non-sterile medications, and related supplies in compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5K, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and subject to certain eligibility requirements. Please note, that candidates must possess prior inpatient work experience to qualify for the sign-on bonus. **Responsibilities:** Performs prescription data entry in pharmacy system when applicable.Prepares non-sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications and cross trains in more advance functions when deem appropriateAssists with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories.Completes other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice.Prepares, fills, receives, delivers, stocks and restocks medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas. Repackages bulk medications.Responsible for assiting with orientation and training of new pharmacy technicians and students students.Maintains and supports medication distribution systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing cabine
