Must Have
High School Diploma or equivalent, LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan 1 Year required, CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Excludes - LIC-Pharmacist Intern 1 Year required OR CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Excludes - LIC-Pharmacist Intern 1 Year required
Nice to Have
Retail or hospital pharmacy experience, LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required OR LIC-Pharmacy Technician Temp - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required, Full Pharmacy Technician License and Certification, such as PTCB Certification or ExCPT, IV, Compounding, Chemo, or Inpatient Pharmacy experience
What You'll Do.
and delivers medications and supplies
working with multiple medication automation systems
working in complex pharmacy areas
including Sterile Product Compounding
Controlled Substance Handling
and Inventory Management
provides technical assistance
processing and preparing medications and supplies
Delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas
Triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members
Prepares supplies / medication under the direction of a Pharmacist
Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging
Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Delivers pharmacy prepared medications
controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas
Triages phone calls and messages
Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications
Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates
