Nice to Have
Registered Virginia Pharmacy Technician preferred or currently registered in a Virginia Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program with the projected Pharmacy Technician Licensure within 4-6 months, High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred, 0-1 years of experience, preferred, Past IV experience is a plus, May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
What You'll Do.
assist the pharmacist and Tech II in pharmacy operations and customer interactions
answering questions and relaying information to physicians and pharmacists
learning all basic aspects of facility and equipment preparation
perform and record all tasks as mandated by law
performing quality checks
participating in the dispensing process
assists in order preparation
entry and fulfillment
completing ad hoc tasks
Prepares prescriptions by typing labels and obtain Staff Pharmacist approval
Draws doses into either a syringe or vial
Performs quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with Federal
Company and manufacturer's guidelines
and stores incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals according to the Department of Transportation and Company guidelines
Maintains computer inventory and records to ensure proper utilization of materials and accounting for Rx drugs
Assists and/or perform in the labeling of blood cell products
Performs general laboratory and facility clean up
May perform clerical and administrative services including maintenance of daily records
preparation of receipts
and maintenance of billing records
Makes deliveries to accounts with company vehicles as needed
Speaks with customers and address questions and/or concerns via telephone
Works under close supervision
Other duties as assigned
