What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Current Board of Pharmacy license, Progressively responsible experience in pharmacy and computer applications of pharmacy practice including implementation and development of new computer systems, Over one year of related work experience
Nice to Have
Knowledge/experience with Siemens Pharmacy/Soarian is a plus
What You'll Do.
Supervise the operation of the assigned pharmacy department
Improves pharmacy prescription sales
Supervises pharmacy staff development and morale
Manages all referrals submitted by Hy-Vee retail pharmacy locations
Recommends plans and coordinates sales and promotional programs
Responsible for recruitment and hiring of pharmacy personnel
Analyzes and recommends loss prevention procedures
Conducts regularly scheduled inventories and checks security
Oversees training of pharmacy staff on POS system
Ensures that established workflow is adhered to
Assist in monitoring competition services
Reviews pharmacy department policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with DEA and Board of Pharmacy regulations
Monitors compliance in pharmacy by conducting regular audits
Prepares and submits records and reports
Recommends and audits an inventory level
Recommends improved pharmacy department maintenance procedures
Takes ownership of department appearance
Resolves customer complaints regarding pharmacy operations
Represents the company in pharmaceutical professional groups
Determines pricing of product to ensure profitability
Builds growth and sales through counseling customers
Reports to work when scheduled
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Communicates and coordinates with Hy-Vee retail pharmacists; Has daily contact with general public, suppliers and vendors; Occasional contact with community or trade/professional organizations; Occasional contact with federal/state/city government or regulatory agencies; Occasional contact with Pharmacy Operations team
Communication Scope
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Excellent interpersonal skills, especially related to health care colleagues
