What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field, Three years experience in pharmaceutical department, Pharmacy License (in good standing) required in the state of operation, knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines, written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, organization skills, attention to detail skills, problem-solving skills, Good leadership abilities, capability to work in a hands-on environment, Working knowledge of perpetual inventory procedures
Nice to Have
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy, Immunization Certification
What You'll Do.
compounding and dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals
advising customers on the use and storage of prescription and non prescription drugs
ordering and maintaining supply of pharmaceutical stock
overseeing pharmacy technicians
receiving prescription and refill requests
filling prescription requests
dispensing medications
packaging and/or labeling of products
providing medication counsel
and performing cycle counts
reviewing and validating received orders
handling outdated/damaged products
maintaining Pharmacy records
leading and/or overseeing pharmacy technicians and/or pharmacy interns
communicating with the Pharmacy Manager
maintaining a clean and well-stocked department
maintaining and implementing pharmacy programs
providing clinical care services as assigned
maintaining current knowledge of legal regulations
industry trends and best Pharmacy practices
making recommendations to improve current programs and processes
ensuring company legal compliance
complying with all applicable federal and state regulations
understanding and communicating Company service and loyalty programs
modeling high standards of service
