What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field required, Three years experience in pharmaceutical department, Pharmacy License (in good standing) required in the state of operation, knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines, written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, organization skills, attention to detail skills, problem-solving skills, Good leadership abilities, capability to work in a hands-on environment, Successfully completes required continuing education hours and maintains Pharmacy License in good standing, Working knowledge of perpetual inventory procedures
Nice to Have
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy preferred, Immunization Certification preferred, Bilingual skills helpful based on demographic region
What You'll Do.
compounding and dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals
advising customers on the use and storage of prescription and non prescription drugs
ordering and maintaining supply of pharmaceutical stock
overseeing pharmacy technicians
receiving prescription and refill requests
filling prescription requests efficiently and accurately
dispensing medications
ensuring accurate retrieving
packaging and/or labeling of products
providing medication counsel
advising customers on prescription and over-the-counter medications regarding use
drug interactions/side effects
and performing cycle counts in the pharmacy
maintaining familiarity of department products
reviewing and validating received orders for amount
ensuring all products are stored in appropriate areas
handling out dated/damaged products per established guidelines
maintaining Pharmacy records
leading and/or overseeing pharmacy technicians and/or pharmacy interns
communicating with the Pharmacy Manager about any potential concerns
maintaining a clean and well-stocked department
ensuring the department complies with Company standards
maintaining and implementing pharmacy programs
providing clinical care services as assigned
maintaining current knowledge of legal regulations
making recommendations to improve current programs and processes
ensuring company legal compliance
complying with all applicable federal and state regulations
understanding and communicating Company service and loyalty programs
modeling high standards of service to achieve a customer oriented store

Advises customers on the use and storage of prescription and non prescription drugs. Orders and maintains supply of pharmaceutical stock. Oversee pharmacy technicians as needed. The Pharmacy is open M-F 9-7, Sat. 9-5 and closed on major Holidays! **Here’s what you’ll do:** * Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and/or clinics and fill prescriptions requests efficiently and accurately and in a professional and courteous manner. * Dispense medications as prescribed; oversee and ensure accurate retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, mixing, packaging and/or labeling of products. * Provide medication counsel and advise customers on both prescription and over-the-counter medications regarding use, dosage, drug interactions/side effects, storage, etc. * Responsible to order, stock, check inventory, and perform cycle counts in the pharmacy, for both prescription and over-the-counter ite
