What You'll Achieve.
Ensure the efficient and safe delivery and handling of company cylinders/cylinder packs; Effecting an efficient and satisfactory multi-drop delivery service to customers; Operating the company’s ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System to the satisfaction of the Department and Quality Manager; Clear understanding of the importance of providing great customer service and the impact that can have on increasing our customer base
Industry & Context.
Willingness to undergo Company Medical if required, Physical demands of manual handling of cylinders and packaged gases
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum LGV C (HGV 2), Full, Clean Driving Licence, Driver’s CPC Card, ADR with Core and Packages and UN Class 2, Disclosure of any unspent conviction
Nice to Have
FLT Licence, First Aid or Health & Safety Qualification, Previous management or supervisory experience
What You'll Do.
Drive company LGV vehicle over established routes or within an established territory to ensure the efficient and safe delivery and handling of company cylinders/cylinder packs
Abide by the current Safety
Health and Environment policy
Be responsible for load security at all times
Abide by the Company’s 12 Life Saving Rules
Effect an efficient and satisfactory multi-drop delivery service to customers
Operate the company’s ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
Ensure that the vehicles under control are kept secure at all times
Carry out all Company policies that apply to his/her position in a business-like and efficient manner
Ensure that any necessary paperwork is completed on a daily basis
Maintain the cleanliness of any vehicle
which may be allocated
Carry out daily Company and Statutory checks that may be required
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical
and emergency equipment is in good working order (in line with ADR)
Comply with traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures under ADR
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources
verifying instructions and routes
Maintain logs of working hours following applicable regulations in relation to Driver Hours (WTD) / Digital Tachographs
Report vehicle defects
incidents and traffic violations
or any damage to the vehicles or customers/public property
Willingly participate in suitable training provided by the Company
