We can’t wait to meet you! The Nuclear Medicine Lead executes the Nuclear Medicine and PET operations at SimonMed Imaging centers in Florida. The responsibility of this position includes planning, organizing, directing, and scheduling the Nuclear Medicine and PET staff, along with ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, certifications, quality assurance, and safety. May perform the duties of a Nuclear Medicine/PET technologist as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility and during the exam. Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs. Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols. Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient. Provides images to the facility in the desired site format. Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems; places service calls and notifies all pertinent team members of issues. Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility. Completes necessary administrative tasks Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
