What They're Looking For.

Must Have

High School Diploma/GED required, Current CPR certification, Registered Nuclear Medicine technologist, 1-2 years PET Imaging experience, 1-2 years Nuclear Medicine experience, ARRT certificate or eligibility required, NJ State Licensed Diagnostic Radiography required, IV Certification required, ARRT and CMNT required, Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures, Ability to prepare and inject radioactive isotopes, Ability to communicate in English, Interpersonal skills required, Organizational skills required, Ability to perform diverse work assignments, Ability to use problem solving skills, Ability to use critical thinking skills, Ability to use priority setting skills

Nice to Have

Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred, ACR CT Certification or eligibility preferred, Experience with Imaging Equipment preferred, Experience with Dose Calibrator preferred, Experience with Geiger counter preferred, Experience with Well & Probe Uptake System preferred, Experience with Lead Syringe Shields preferred, Experience with Lab Coats preferred, Experience with Standard Office Equipment preferred, Experience with Standard Office Technology preferred

What You'll Do.

Prepare radiopharmaceuticals

Inject radiopharmaceuticals

Measure radioactive isotope concentrations

Perform technical procedures

Screen patients before procedure

Greet and identify correct patient

Provide procedure explanation

Employ proper aseptic techniques

Administer fluorodioxyglucose

Ensure safe job performance

Maintain safe work environment

Produce quality diagnostic images

Give reports to physician

Manage PET/CT schedule

Perform daily quality assurance

Perform weekly quality assurance

Perform flood analysis

Troubleshoot peripheral equipment

Report problems to supervisor

Perform departmental surveys

Ensure compliance with radiation standards

Follow proper spill procedures

Follow proper decontamination procedures

Order radioactive materials

Log radioactive materials

Dispose of radioisotopes

Update Nuclear Policies

Maintain patient records

Update patient records

Archive documentation

Perform CT examinations

Assist in treatment of emergencies

Use intravenous power injectors
