**Overview:** **Schedule: Evenings (2p-10:30p), Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 24 hrs./week ** **with on-call and holiday call responsibilities.** * ## **Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups** * ## **Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands** * ## **Team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required** * ## **Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations** **Job Description Summary:** Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies. **Job Description:** **Essential Functions:** * Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance. * Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts. * Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment. * Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood, as necessary. **Education Requirement:** High School Diploma or equivalent, required. **Certifications:** BLS Certification, preferred. **Skills:** * Basic understanding of mechanical equipment. * Self-starter who requires little or no supervision. * Ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations. * Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills * Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment. * Working knowledge of supply chain or materials management. * Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures. **Experience:** Previous health care experience, preferred. **Physical Requirements:** OCCASIONALLY: Biohazard waste, Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Climb stairs/ladder, Flexing/extending of neck, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Loud Noises, Patient Equipment, Power Tools, Problem solving, Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs, Reaching above shoulder, Si
