What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduation from an accredited X-Ray Technologist program, perform basic X-rays of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot or ankle, position patients for X-ray, adjust restriction devices and equipment to set exposure factors, determine patient's' X-ray needs by accurately interpreting special instructions from the provider, use beam-restrictive devices and patient-shielding techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff (ALARA principle), functional and practical knowledge of various computer systems
Nice to Have
Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location
What You'll Do.
Producing high quality radiographs
Following CityMD X-ray protocols
Department of Health regulatory compliance
Performing the more common X-ray studies
Properly documenting X-ray studies performed
Facilitating communication between Provider and Radiologist
Keeping an accurate record of QC log books
Troubleshooting equipment and software malfunctions
Informing Site Manager and X-Ray Manager
Assisting with patient flow
Utilizing the flag system
Performing vital signs
documenting results in the EMR
Assisting with CLIA waived tests
proper use of crutches
Maintaining the cleanliness of the site
Providing exceptional patient care
