As well as review patient orders in advanced to ensure proper exam has been requested. * Educate patients about the procedures to be performed including contrast material administration and its possible contraindications and adverse effects. * Set up CAT scan equipment and apparatus by selecting appropriate protocols and required for any prescribed procedures. * Obtain optimum quality CAT scan images through employment of proper anatomical positioning, slice thickness and other required techniques in accordance with the protocols designed by the radiologists.
