What They're Looking For.

Must Have

10 years of progressive experience in pensions, pension finance or administration within a corporate, consulting or institutional environment, A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, legal or related field or related certifications and experience, Deep knowledge of pension legislation with respect to defined benefit and defined contribution, pension tax regulations, employment/labour standards and privacy regulations, financial acumen and skills with respect to reporting, asset reconciliations and audit processes, Demonstrated ability to partner effectively in complex, regulated and changing organizations, Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities

Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on DB/DC pension and savings program design

and external partners to resolve complex pension issues and support informed decision-making

Ensure compliance with Canadian pension legislation

Income Tax Act requirements

Support pension governance frameworks

and documented decision-making

Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts

recommending and implementing mitigation strategies as needed

and issue remediation

and ongoing oversight of pension vendors (administrators

Support pension financial reporting

and reconciliations and ensure accuracy and integrity of pension assets
