Must Have
2 years of professional experience in pension administration or pension analysis, Completion of post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Pension legislation, Familiarity with pension and benefits calculations, Familiarity with actuarial terminology, Familiarity with valuation report preparation, Familiarity with data reconciliations, Intermediate MS Word skills, Intermediate MS Excel skills, mathematical and analytical abilities, organizational skills, time management skills, accountability skills, ability to manage priorities effectively, Excellent written communication skills, Excellent verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Mathematics, Completion of an RPA designation, Completion of a CEBS designation, Completion of a GBA designation, French language skills
What You'll Do.
Administer client's health
welfare and pension plans
Maintain up-to-date records for members and clients
Determine entitlements on death
and marriage breakdown
Authorize payment of benefit entitlements
Respond to plan inquiries and requests
Participate in other duties and projects
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Communicate and coordinate with members, employers, union representatives, actuaries, auditors, custodians, and any other third-party representative; Work with senior members of the team during the peer review process; Work with the team to implement new procedures; Works collaboratively within the Benefit and Pension Department and across other administrative teams; Communicates and coordinates with managers, supervisors, clients, members, Plan Actuaries, Plan Auditors, lawyers, unions, employers, and other third-party representatives
