What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid driver's license, Minimum of 1-year continuous recovery, Must be a person with lived experience, Demonstrates understanding of confidentiality protocols, Engages in meaningful and authentic interactions, Recognizes professional boundaries, Establishes trust and rapport, Actively advocates for needs and rights, Demonstrates awareness and seeks to learn, Collaborates cross-departmentally, Adheres to all state, county, and organization policies, Must be able to adhere to process protocol, Ability to effectively interface and utilize technology, Must be able to communicate effectively, Must be able to remain calm, think clearly, and apply sound judgement
Nice to Have
Completion of accredited Peer Specialist training program, Bi-lingual English-Spanish and/or ASL, Prior peer mentoring experience
What You'll Do.
Provide mentorship and support to clients
Build skills in goal setting
Build skills in problem solving
Facilitate counseling for clients
Facilitate activities for clients
Promote connection and agency
Help clients coordinate services
Help clients navigate services
Transport clients to appointments
Escort clients to appointments
Collaborate with Coalition staff
Foster trusting relationships with clients
Ensure services are timely
Ensure services are aligned to goals
Perform ongoing client outreach
Monitor recovery oriented needs
Ensure timely use of company systems
Ensure accurate use of company systems
Maintain complete up-to-date records
