Position: Peer Recovery Support Specialist Job Summary: The Peer Recovery Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented support to individuals residing in recovery housing by leveraging lived experience to promote engagement, stability, and long-term wellness. This role focuses on fostering a supportive, structured, and recovery-focused living environment through peer mentorship, facilitation of in-home recovery activities, and connection to community resources. The specialist serves as a role model, advocate, and motivator, helping residents build daily living skills, strengthen recovery pathways, and actively participate in both house-based and community recovery activities. Reports to: Housing Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: Proactively engage and support individuals residing in recovery housing who are in recovery from a substance use disorder Provide services directly within recovery housing environments, including shared living spaces, as well as in the community Plan, organize, and facilitate recovery-focused activities within the housing setting (e.g., life skills groups, wellness activities, peer-led discussions, goal-setting sessions) Support and encourage residents to participate in community-based recovery activities, including mutual aid meetings, social/recreational events, and structured programming Assist residents with transportation and coordination to attend recovery meetings, appointments, employment opportunities, and other
