What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology or radiology program, Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification or as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or currently enrolled and in second year of an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist program, Current RCIS or ARRT certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment, At least one year of diagnostic radiology or interventional radiology experience required, Pediatric cath lab experience in a tertiary or quaternary care center, knowledge of congenital heart disease and pediatric hemodynamics, Familiarity with ECMO and hybrid OR procedures, Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS CPR certifications
Nice to Have
Registered ARRT (VI) or Registered ARRT (CI) preferred, PALS strongly preferred (or obtained within 6 months)
What You'll Do.
Provide technical expertise and patient care support in the pediatric cardiac catheterization lab
Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures
with a focus on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family
Provide support during diagnostic
and interventional procedures
Operate sophisticated cardiac medical imaging and diagnostic equipment
Assist with device management in order to obtain optimum study quality and support interventional team needs
Acquire/measure/calculate hemodynamic data
Perform blood work analysis
Prepare procedure rooms
Prep patients for procedures
Transport patients to and from the lab
Clean procedure rooms
Prepare instruments for re-sterilization
Direct and practice safety guidelines for themselves
Adhere to regulatory practices within the cardiac cath lab
Prepare and maintain cath lab environment
ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards
Perform direct patient care activities under the direction of the Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab/ EP Registered Nurse and/or the Cath Lab Operations Manager
Assist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures (diagnostic cath
electrophysiology studies)
Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging and monitoring equipment (fluoroscopy
Acquire and interpret hemodynamic perform blood work analysis
Support patient care before
