Ability to perform very heavy lifting - Up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly., Ability to assist, escort, transfer, and respond to patient needs for extended periods of time., May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases., Exposure to risk of blood-borne pathogens., May be subjected to varying and unpredictable situations., Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance., For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available., Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

What You'll Do.
Perform daily maintenance routines for rehabilitation departments
Perform daily sanitation of PT/OT Gym areas
Notify personnel regarding equipment malfunctioning
Maintain general clinic tidiness
maintain and refill disinfectant
Set up and clean up therapy rooms
Deliver and pick up equipment
Close site following procedure
Assist in preparation and maintenance of patient files
Address and fill envelopes
Prepare packages for mailing
Sort and distribute mail and reports
Distribute office supplies and therapy materials
and put away supplies
Order food for therapy services
Perform other clerical duties
Maintain department supplies/materials
Perform basic modality/exercise treatments
Deliver basic modality treatments
Prepare patient for treatment
Remove bandages/dressings
Assist patient with dressing and undressing
Perform patient transportation and routine errands
Transport duties as requested
Deliver supplies and equipment
Complete errands throughout hospital
Perform basic gait training
Perform basic exercises
Perform basic patient transfer techniques
Communicate potential patient problems
Provide information regarding observed patient problems
Notify appropriate clinical staff
Utilize proper isolation procedures & techniques

**Department:** 35122 Advocate Christ Medical Center - Pediatrics Rehabilitation: Palos **Status:** Part time **Benefits Eligible:** Yes **Hou****rs Per Week:** 20 **Schedule Details/Additional Information:** Monday through Thursday 2:00 pm to 6:00pm Friday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm **Pay Range** $19.80 - $29.70 Major Responsibilities: Performance of daily maintenance routines for various rehabilitation departments 1)Performs daily sanitation of PT/OT Gym areas, i.e., mat tables, tables, parallel bars and therapeutic equipment. 2)Notifies appropriate personnel regarding equipment malfunctioning, hydra equipment. 3)Maintains general clinic tidiness. 4)Maintains splint area ensuring that supplies are properly stored and countertops are clear. Refills water levels. 5)Disinfects equipment. 6)Loads and unloads dishwasher. 7)Stores, maintains and refills disinfectant according to hospital specifications. 8)Sets up and cleans up therapy rooms for specific procedures. 11. Delivers and picks up equipment for special disinfecting procedures. 12. Closes site following established procedure. Performance of providing/assisting with clerical responsibilities as directed by supervisor/therapist. 2)Assists in the preparation and maintenance of patient files. 3)Copies forms, reports, records. 4)Addresses and fills envelopes for mailings. 5)Prepares packages for mailing. 6)Sends copy requests to Copy Center. 7)Faxes documents according to Hospital policy. 8)Sorts and distributes mail and reports to appropriate staff. 9)Distributes office supplies and therapy materials upon delivery. 10)Accepts, verifies, and puts away supplies when delivered. 11. Orders food for therapy services. 12. Performs other clerical duties as back up or as assigned. 1)Maintains department supplies/materials, including inventory, ordering and restocking.
