What You'll Achieve.
delivers project objectives with respect to the six key areas of performance: Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Environment, Delivery and People; successful delivery of the programme of works on time and to budget; ensure full mutual understanding of the projects’ delivery objectives; report on and review project performance; agree solutions to issues; resolving risks and issues in a timely manner; producing timely and accurate reports; creating and maintaining specified records including change management; develop, agree, and implement solutions to overcome these; driving performance and productivity

Ability and willingness to travel to other offices and depots on the network as and when required, Periodic requirement for site visits (night shift), Full Driving License, Security clearance, proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in the delivery of mechanical and electrical and/or technology highways construction & maintenance operations or similar transferable experience, Project Management skills, Broad knowledge and understanding of other design areas, Understanding of Environmental requirements of schemes, Experience of coordinating interfaces with design teams and external resources, Understanding of H&S Requirements related to highway construction & maintenance works, Knowledge of CDM and other H&S legislation, Competent in exercising the duties under CDM, Applicable CSCS Card, Team leadership and management experience in driving performance and productivity, communication and stakeholder management skills, customer focus with a service delivery mindset, Commercial understanding and budgetary control experience, Understanding of Lean principles, Proactive problem solving, Excellent communication skills, safety management culture, Self-aware and adaptable style to meet varying project needs, Resilient, Presentation skills, Team building skills, Ability to prioritise and self-manage, Ability to develop relationships and engender trust, Experience at a senior level in the delivery of highways construction & maintenance operations or similar transferable experience, Previous experience in a similar role with demonstrable competence in relation to the majority of the responsibilities listed above, Experience of managing projects through complete lifecycle, Full Driving License
Nice to Have
recognised PM qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etc., minimum HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a mechanical and electrical, civil engineering or other construction-based discipline
What You'll Do.
Deliver project objectives
Deliver complex mechanical and electrical and technology highways schemes
Line management of project managers
Manage programme of works on time and to budget
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships
Ensure full mutual understanding of project delivery objectives
Report on project performance
Agree solutions to issues
Maintain compliance with DBFO contract
Clarify roles and responsibilities
Resolve risks and issues
Produce timely and accurate reports
Create and maintain specified records
Identify and evaluate emerging risks
Escalate risks where appropriate
and implement solutions
Lead and oversee projects throughout lifecycle
Inform investment proposals
Global or master programme maintenance
Oversee and challenge Project Managers input
Client liaison on project and portfolio level
Chair and drive project reviews
Manage correspondence and queries
Manage project change control
Allocate projects to PMs
certificates and site reporting are managed correctly
Manage NEC Contracts Options
Travel to other offices and depots
Site visits (night shift)
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with the Portfolio Manager, Self Delivery Lead, Delivery Leads, other colleagues, Construction/ Supervisor Teams and key internal and external stakeholders; Work closely with the Construction/Supervisor team
