**Hourly Pay Range:** $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. **Position Highlights:** * **Position** : Patient Care Technician - Ortho/Spine Unit * **Location** : Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL * **Part-Time:** This is a seasonal role for students and is hired as a per-diem status. Open and flexible to discussing hours during school breaks over summer, winter, and spring break. * **Hours** : 7:00am-7:30pm **What you will do:** The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients. **What you will need:** * Education: N/A * _Preferred candidate is a Freshman/Sophomore/Junior enrolled in college for Nursing or another Health Sciences related field looking to work on their school breaks_ * Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association * Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course _or_ minimum six months of previous patient care experience _or_ equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation * Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department. * Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions. **Benefits (For full-time or part-time positions):** * Premium pay such as shift, on call, holiday and more based on an employee’s job (for eligible positions) * Incentive pay for select positions * Opportunity for Annual increases based on performance * Career Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and Development * Various Medical, Dental, and Vision options * Tuition Reimbursement * Free Parking at designated locations * Wellness Program Savings Plan *
