The Role: Join OTR, part of Viva Energy Group, and play a key leadership role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll across a large, complex, multi-brand retail environment. As Payroll Team Lead, you will provide strong technical leadership and day-to-day oversight of payroll operations, ensuring processes are robust, well-controlled, and continuously improving. Acting as a trusted partner to Retail Operations, you will enable seamless payroll outcomes delivered accurately and on time, every time while meeting all legislative, contractual, and governance requirements. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the end‑to‑end payroll process, ensuring all payroll cycles are delivered accurately, on time and in compliance with legislative and industrial requirements * Provide hands-on people leadership to a team of Payroll Officers, growing capability, consistency and a culture of continuous improvement * Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex payroll queries, calculations, corrections and interpretations * Ensure strong payroll controls, reconciliations, audits and sign‑off processes are in place and adhered to * Maintain a deep understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, payroll legislation and system configur
