What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5 years experience within a payroll officer / Specialist role, Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft product suite, Ability to navigate and use payroll systems to extract pay rules, data and to undertake payroll remediation work, Considerable payroll process and systems experience, Advanced investigative skills with numerical & analytical skills, Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, Flexibility in managing changing priorities, deadlines and opportunities, Ability to identify risk, solve problems and manage multiple priorities, High levels of resilience and the ability to work in high pressured situations
Nice to Have
Tertiary qualification in Accounting – Finance
What You'll Do.
Support People Services Project team with payroll transformation
Contribute payroll knowledge
Work with key stakeholders
Write Payroll/Award/EA test scripts
Perform scenario testing
Perform UAT testing on End-to-End process
Prepare and perform Training as SME
Reconcile leave from legacy systems
Investigate and test new system changes in payroll
Monitor Legislation changes
Update system processes and policies
Calculate Awards (remediation work)
Ensure payroll compliance
Foster good relationships across the business
Continue business customer relationships
Advocate improved utilisation of information systems
Participate and contribute to internal team development activities
