About the role We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll professional to join our team as a Payroll Manager on a Maximum Term Basis until March 2027, with the possibility of extension. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the whole of the payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies. This role plays a key leadership role in managing payroll systems, providing strategic insights to support workforce planning, and ensuring the integrity of payroll data. Other key accountabilities of this role include: * Lead and mentor the payroll team, ensuring the development and performance of team members in managing payroll operations efficiently. * Lead and manage the end-to-end processing of two fortnightly payroll runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Supervise payroll activities, ensuring compliance with legislation, tax, superannuation and enterprise agreements * Oversee complex payroll variations including salary adjustments, allowances, leave entitlements and back payments * Ensure accurate maintenance and integrity of payroll data for reporting, audits and regulatory compliance * Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, providing expert advice to employees and managers * Lead year-en
