Must Have

5 + years of proven payroll process experience in US Payroll, Good understanding of payroll processes, including payroll journal entries and GL account reconciliation, Working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, including multi-state and federal pay and tax laws

Nice to Have

CPP preferred, Knowledge in Payroll Process, Policies and Procedures: Good understanding, preparation, and knowledge of payroll journal entries and GL account reconciliations. Working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, including multi-state and federal pay and tax laws., Knowledge in Excel and Workday/UKG, Organization and Multi-tasking Skills: Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills., Communication and Collaboration skills: Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas. verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with business partners of the organization., Exceptional Customer Service Skills., Proactive and Adaptable: The ideal candidate is a detailed-oriented, self-motivated team player, who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and data-driven organization. What You'll Do.

Manage global payroll processing using Workday/UKG HCM.

Manage three cycles including commissions

and semi-monthly payments.

Prepare all termination checks and off-cycle payments.

Manage and review payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing with data integrity consistent with federal

and local wage and hour laws.

Ensure all payroll regulatory filings are completed accurately and on time.

Conduct quarter/year-end reconciliation of payroll and stock transactions.

Collaborate to build and scale the payroll department

strengthen internal controls

and accurately manage day-to-day operations.

Set up and manage payroll in new states

provide input to payroll service providers

and approve payrolls.

Provide a high level of customer service to finance and non-finance business partners by offering financial insights and relevant reporting.

Support quarterly reviews and annual audit requests and inquiries from internal and external auditors.

Execute various GL month-end close activities

including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

Apply for tax IDs in new jurisdictions and maintain tax information using ADP Smart Compliance.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a sense of urgency

in a kind and empathetic manner

ensuring staff members' needs and concerns are addressed.

Develop and maintain pay policies

and other procedural documentation

ensuring internal controls and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review in compliance with local laws.

Manage the transmission of data files for FSA

Conduct year-end audit of Wage & Tax Registers for accurate W2 and T4 processing.
