**Our Why** Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow. **About the Role (your why)** We’re looking for two **Payroll Compliance Consultants** to join our **Payroll Product team (one based out of Auckland, New Zealand** and**the other based out of Sydney, Australia)**. In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor working closely with our product, development, and customer success teams to ensure our Payroll product stays compliant with evolving legislation and regulations. You will apply your specialist payroll knowledge to interpret complex payroll legislation, lead impact assessments, translate regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications, and help maintain Datacom’s reputation as a trusted, compliant payroll solution across the regions we operate in. Our offices are based in **Auckland, New Zealand** and**Sydney, Australia** We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! **What you’ll do** At the moment, as a **Payroll Compliance Consultant** you will be focused on: * Monitoring, researching, and analysing payroll legislation, tax law, superannuation regulations, and industrial instruments. * Leading end-to-end legislative impact assessments and developing mitigation plans. * Providing clear, actionable compliance guidance to internal and external stakeholders. * Triaging compliance requests, prioritising them against product roadmap requirements, and lodging business cases for resourcing. * Collaborating with Product Managers and Analysts to translate legislative requirements into functional specifications. * Reviewing UX designs and workflows to ensure they meet legislative requirements. * Participating in sprint reviews and product demon
