Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing across the US (including California), Canada, and the UK, ensuring accuracy across wages, bonuses, deductions, and time-off adjustments. Prepare, review, and approve weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles while ensuring compliance with local regulations and deadlines. Maintain payroll integrity through regular audits, reconciliations, and validation of tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and payroll journal entries. Ensure compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements including California wage and hour laws, Canadian CPP/EI obligations, and UK PAYE and National Insurance regulations. Support year-end reporting and filings such as W-2s, T4s, P60s, and other statutory documentation. Administer employee benefits programs across multiple countries, including health, retirement, insurance, and statutory leave entitlements. Serve as a primary contact for employee payroll and benefits inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Collaborate with HR, finance, and external vendors to support onboarding, acquisitions, and system integrations. Develop and maintain payroll and benefits SOPs while contributing to ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field. 2+ years of payroll and benefits experience, including exposure to hourly and non-exempt employee populations. Hands-on experience with California payroll compliance, including wage and hour laws, meal/rest breaks, and final pay requirements. Experience processing Canadian payroll (CPP, EI, and provincial tax systems). Experience with UK payroll operations (PAYE, National Insurance, HMRC requirements). Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
