Full Job Description
* Fixed term role * $110,506 per annum plus Superannuation * Join the Payroll team Hume City Council is one of Australia’s fastest growing and culturally diverse councils. We put the customer and our community at the centre of all that we do, ensuring our services are efficient and accessible. The Payroll Analytics Advisor is responsible for assessing historical payroll data into actionable insights that support financial and business decision-making. This role is focused on leveraging payroll analytics to deliver agreed outcomes in payroll remediation & compliance. The advisor works closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and to recommend fixes aligned with organisational priorities and strategic goals. What you’ll be doing: * Review historical payroll records, including paper timesheets and provide recommendation on approach to resolve identified concerns * Analyse payroll data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for remediation. * Prepare reports and insights to support decision-making and process improvements. * Collaborate with Payroll, People & Partnerships, and Finance teams to ensure accurate remediation and reporting. * Assist with documentation and audit preparation related to remediation efforts. * Maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout the remediation process. * Support HR and finance departments with analytical insights. * Maintain a high standard of data integrity and compliance. * Develop and deliver payroll analytics reports * Collaborate with HR and finance teams to identify data requirements. * Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and policies. * Identify trends and provide recommendations for process improvements. * Support the development and maintenance of payroll analytics tools.
