Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field strongly preferred, 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing and payroll accounting preferred, Spanish language skills (professional proficiency) strongly preferred, Experience with Workday Payroll strongly preferred, SAP exposure, including SAP HANA, is a plus, Certifications such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) can be an advantage but are not always required
What You'll Do.
processing and managing the payroll for all employees
ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time
maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Collect and verify timekeeping data from various sources
and overtime for employees
Process payroll using payroll software or integrated HRIS (Human Resources Information System) tools
Ensure that all necessary payroll adjustments are accurately made
Accurately calculate and withhold federal
as well as Social Security and Medicare
Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and payments to relevant government agencies on time
Keep updated with tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance
Deduct and process employee contributions for benefits
Ensure that benefits deductions align with employee elections and agreements
Maintain accurate payroll records
Generate reports for management and finance teams as needed
Ensure compliance with federal
and local labor laws and regulations
Assist with internal and external payroll audits
Respond to payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll data
Address and correct payroll-related issues in a timely manner
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
and compliance in payroll processing
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in payroll
