What You'll Achieve.
Identify issues, improve processes, and reduce operational friction; Drive resolution for payment discrepancies and operational issues; Improve payment workflows and internal systems; Track operational KPIs including approval rates, chargeback ratios, payment declines, processing trends, and risk-related metrics

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1–4 years of experience in payment operations, risk analysis, fraud operations, fintech operations, financial operations, or related fields, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and make sound judgment-based decisions, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, Comfort working with operational systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and payment platforms, Ability to navigate ambiguity while maintaining operational accuracy and accountability, Self-starter mentality with ownership and process-oriented thinking, Alignment with Overflow’s mission, values, and commitment to operational excellence
Nice to Have
Experience working within fintech, payments, SaaS, banking, or financial services environments, Familiarity with payment processors such as Stripe, Adyen, Fiserv, or related platforms, Experience with chargebacks, fraud monitoring, underwriting, or transaction risk management, Exposure to nonprofit, philanthropy, or donor-advised fund ecosystems, Experience collaborating with Product or Engineering teams on operational tooling improvements, Familiarity with tools such as Excel, HubSpot, Zendesk, Linear, Notion, or similar operational systems
What You'll Do.
Manage payment operations across cash and non-cash giving workflows
Analyze payment activity
Review merchant and client applications
validate documentation
Support Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verification
Monitor transaction activity for fraud
Investigate payment discrepancies and operational issues
Support underwriting and risk review processes
Assist in scoping operational improvements and documenting requirements
Track operational KPIs including approval rates
Support end-to-end stock donation process
Maintain accurate operational documentation and support audit
