Full Job Description
**Department:** 11611 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Guest Services **Status:** Full time **Benefits Eligible:** Yes **Hou****rs Per Week:** 40 **Schedule Details/Additional Information:** 9a-5:30p, weekends included. **Pay Range** $18.85 - $28.30 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in hospital environment, patient care, and transportation preferred. **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:** CPR course required within 30 days of hire**.** Completion of Oxygen Training class with certification for administering oxygen required after hired. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** 1. Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher or beds. 2. Maintains a safe environment for patients, self, guests and co-workers. 3. Knowledgeable of transporting patients with oxygen, intravenous pumps and restraints. 4. Communicates to team, co-workers, patients and guests in a positive and professional manner. 5. Takes initiative for performance and professional development. 6. Knowledgeable of all aspects and functionalities of the Transport Tracking System. 7. Provides age/developmentally appropriate assistance in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served. **SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:** 1. Good communication skills to interact with patient, guests and clinical staff 2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions 3. Requires much walking, lifting and physical exertion 4. Must be able to walk for long periods 5. Ability to transport patients to various on-campus locations 6. Excellent customer service skills 7.
