Must Have

5 years’ experience in a professional office with customer service required, computer skills including Windows file management and MS Office, and e-mail experience, Electronic Medical Records experience required or within 90 days, Good verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills and attention to detail, Excellent customer service skills

What You'll Do.

Provide total medical office support

Manage reception of patients

Obtain patient insurance and demographic information

Collect co-pays and payments

Schedule patient appointments

Monitor and distribute inbound and outbound documentation

Answer telephones and greet patients

Route calls and messages

Follow policy and procedures

Conduct patient check-in and check-out

Manage medical records

Function as preceptor to new staff

Track patients in EHR

Obtain pre-patient registration information

Enter information into PM or EHR

Ensure proper distress screening

Manage end of day procedure

Follow up on canceled and missed appointments

Perform tasks related to Governmental programs

Perform tasks related to Insurance programs

Perform tasks related to Quality Initiative Programs

Distribute communication regarding program details

Generate and distribute Clinical Summary

Communicate information regarding Patient Engagement Portal

Assist with Patient Engagement Portal registration

Maintain communication with pre-certification team

Fax proper billing document

Prepare EHR for next provider visit

Obtain necessary records prior to appointment

Follow SOP for external follow ups

Open and distribute mail

Scan/import patient records into EHR

Distribute outbound correspondence

Respond to patient requests

Respond to physician requests

Respond to clinical requests

Communicate to other staff members

Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Adhere to Tennessee Oncology policies
