5 years experience in professional office with customer service, Computer skills including Windows file management and MS Office, Email experience, Electronic Medical Records experience required or within 90 days, Good verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work productively and effectively in a fast-paced environment, Organizational skills, Excellent customer service skills

Checked off on competencies for registration and scheduling coordinator functions within 90 days

What You'll Do.

Provide total medical office support

Manage reception of patients

Obtain patient insurance and demographic information

Collect co-pays and payments

Schedule appointments

Monitor and distribute inbound and outbound documentation

Follow policy and procedures

Conduct patient check-in

Conduct patient check-out

Track patients in EHR

Obtain pre-patient registration information

Enter information into Patient Management System or EHR

Ensure eligible patients have proper distress screening

Manage end of day procedure

Ensure canceled and missed appointments are followed up

Identify patients with unscheduled orders

Distribute communication to patients regarding program details

Generate and distribute Clinical Summary

Communicate information regarding Patient Engagement Portal

Assist with registration process

Maintain communication with pre-certification team

Fax proper billing document with diagnostic order

Prepare EHR for next provider visit

Obtain necessary records prior to patient's appointment

Follow standard operating procedure for external follow ups

Open and distribute mail

Electronically scan/import patient related records into EHR

Distribute outbound correspondence or copies of records

Demonstrate excellent customer service

Respond promptly to patient requests

Respond promptly to physician requests

Respond promptly to clinical requests

Communicate to other staff members using Instant Messaging

Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Adhere to Tennessee Oncology policies and procedures
