Must Have
High School Graduate or GED required, Ability to communicate in English, Basic proficiency in computer use
Nice to Have
Associate Degree preferred, Previous PSR experience preferred, Knowledge of medical office and terminology preferred, Previous experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred, Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred
What You'll Do.
Maintain efficient patient flow
Provide excellent customer service
Answer telephone promptly
Take accurate messages
Inform patients of schedule delays
Assist with patient comfort
Post self pay charges
Reconcile daily payments
Reconcile billing slips
Open and close batches
Reconcile collections
Process insurance verifications
Update patient account
Update patient information
Schedule appointments accurately
Confirm future appointments
Review Eligibility and Phone report
Schedule and enter orders for diagnostic tests
Enter orders for procedures
Ensure timely pre-authorizations
Enter referrals into system
Communicate problems and concerns
Perform clerical duties
Demonstrate flexibility with work schedules
Cover for other staff
Follow downtime procedures
