What You'll Do.
Greet patients/family
Schedule patient appointments
Schedule hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures
Answer the telephone promptly
Deal with callers needs imperiously
Direct calls appropriately
Take an accurate message
Deliver message to appropriate individual
Schedule future appointments
Complete referrals as ordered by physician
Maintain communication resources
Prepare charts for new patients
Assure all required forms are placed appropriately
Convert from temporary to permanent record
Request medical records
Perform chart preparation
Provide physician with all information needed
Print minimal medical records information
Reconcile encounters daily
Monitor supply inventory
Complete and direct requisitions for supplies
Perform various clerical duties
verify and update patient information
Maintain confidentiality
Accurately complete necessary forms
Respect patient’s rights
Establish and maintain positive working relationship
Protect privacy and confidentiality
