What You'll Do.
Greet patients and family
Schedule patient appointments
Schedule hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures
Answer the telephone promptly
Deal with callers needs imperiously
Direct calls appropriately
Take accurate messages
Deliver messages to appropriate individual
Schedule future appointments
Complete referrals as ordered by physician
Maintain communication resources
Prepare charts for new patients
Assure required forms are placed appropriately
Convert temporary to permanent record
Request medical records
Perform chart preparation
Provide physician with information needed
Print minimal medical records information
Reconcile encounters daily
Monitor supply inventory
Complete requisitions for supplies
Direct requisitions for supplies
Perform various clerical duties
Obtain patient information
Verify patient information
Update patient information
Maintain patient confidentiality
Complete necessary forms for patients
Respect patient's rights
Establish positive working relationship with physicians
Establish positive working relationship with nursing staff
Protect privacy and confidentiality of patients
