High School diploma required, Associate's degree in related field preferred, Equivalent combination of education and experience, Experience in a health care setting preferred
What You'll Do.
Visit patients daily to order meals
Perform tasks within the department
Provide customer service by obtaining meal selections
Enter patient selections and preferences in CBORD
Organize tray tickets for production
Interact with multi-disciplinary staff
Communicate food quality issues to management
Advise staff on adjusting trays
Screen patients to identify risk levels
Assess patients at moderate nutritional risk
Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy
Calculate patients’ nutrient intakes
Educate patients and families on nutritional regimes
Arrange for individual follow-up
Plan meals for difficult patients
Document patients' nutritional care in medical records
Collaborate with healthcare team
Recommend nutrition regime
Participate in precepting students
Train and coach unit support staff
Participate in orienting peers
Participate in training peers
Perform other duties as assigned
