Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.**_ **Labcorp is seeking a Patient Intake Rep to join our team at 1818 Carew St, Fort Wayne, IN** **Work Schedule:** Monday - Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, rotating Saturdays **** **Job Responsibilities:** * Schedule patient appointments and greet patients upon appointment arrival * Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors * Assist patients with registration and check in procedures * Data entry of patient demographics and billing information * Verification of insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accounts * Collect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis when needed * Call physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test orders * Monitor and log patient wait times on a regular basis * Notify the supervisor of any patient issues in a timely manner * Promote and provide information about LabCorp patient services * Manage office supplies to ensure proper inventory levels * Open and close the office when necessary * Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary **** **Minimum Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or GED or equivalent * 1 year or more of customer service experience **Preferred Qualifications:** * 1 year or more of patient facing healthcare experience **Additional Job Standards:** * Experience working in a team environment * Strong data entry and organizational skills * High level of attention to detail * Proficient in MS Office * Flexibility to work overtime as needed * Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test **At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
