What You'll Do.

Create and manage provider’s surgery/hospital procedure schedules

Maintain schedule changes

rescheduling and/or clinical follow

Use Provider power plans to ensure orders are

Obtain authorization for surgeries/hospital procedures

Research coverage and obtain prior auth

Verify eligibility and benefits

Coordinate referral for patients that will go out

Act as point of contact for surgery authorization

Obtain proper CPT code from provider for authorization

Propose iCentra requirements to create a pre-surgical FIN#

Create required surgical scheduling card for Hospital scheduler

Coordinate with the provider to ensure all necessary

Coordinate any necessary Hospital items with nursing staff

Call in surgical/procedure order for Providers

Meet with surgery/procedure patients to explain the process

Coordinate with Providers and Medical Staff any red

Scan and Document process in patient charts

Relay cost estimations

Investigate billing disputes for surgery/procedure

**Job Description:** Creates and manages provider’s surgery schedules, including in office procedure schedules and equipment. Maintains any changes or cancellations of surgeries for rescheduling and/or clinical follow up. Uses provider power plans to ensure all necessary orders are proposed, signed off and sent for hospital orders. Meets with pre-op patients to explain the surgery process..
