Must Have
High School diploma or G. E. D., Meet CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements, Successful completion of CPR certification

What You'll Do.
Function as part of the dialysis health care
Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy
Supervise dialysis therapy under licensed nurse
Operate hemodialysis machines
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Assist in patient specific education
Welcome assigned patients
Evaluate vascular access for patency
Perform vascular access cannulation
Administer heparin as delegated
Obtain pre and post treatment vital signs
Initiate dialysis treatment
Evaluate intradialytic problems
Provide intervention as prescribed
Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy
Obtain vital signs prior to discontinuation
Document vital signs and treatment parameters
Discontinue dialysis treatment
Evaluate patient prior to discharge
Perform and record Pre and Post dialysis evaluation
Calculate and program dialysis machine for Ultrafiltration
Ensure appropriate safety alarms are enabled
Record accurate information onto Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet
Document information related to patient treatment
Report significant information to registered nurse
Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks
Report any change or unusual findings
Perform and document intervention for unusual patient status
Document patients' response to intervention
Evaluate patients’ vascular access during treatment
Document and report unusual findings
Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing
Prepare specimens for collection
Clean blood spills immediately
and utilize supplies and equipment
Monitor patients performing self-care
