Color Blindness test, Heavy lifting, Moving of patients, Assisting with ambulation, Frequent standing, Bending over, Push and/or pull equipment, Lift and lower solutions

High School diploma or G. E. D., Meet CMS-approved state/national certification requirements, All appropriate state licensure, education, and training, Successful completion of CPR certification

Nice to Have

Previous patient care experience in hospital setting, Previous patient care experience in related facility

What You'll Do.

Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy

Operate hemodialysis machines

Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Assist in patient specific education

Welcome assigned patients

Evaluate vascular access for patency

Perform vascular access cannulation

Obtain pre and post treatment vital signs

Perform vascular access evaluation pre-treatment

Initiate dialysis treatment

Evaluate intradialytic problems

Provide intervention as prescribed

Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy

Obtain vital signs prior to discontinuation

Discontinue dialysis treatment

Evaluate patient prior to discharge

Perform and record pre and post dialysis evaluation

Calculate and enter dialysis machine programming

Ensure appropriate safety alarms are enabled

Record vital signs and treatment parameters

Document patient treatment information

Report significant patient information to nurse

Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks

Report machine findings to nurse

Perform and document intervention for unusual patient status

Evaluate patients’ vascular access during treatment

Document and report unusual findings to nurse

Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing

Prepare specimens for collection

Monitor patients performing self-care

Assist in training of direct patient care staff

Follow organization business policies

Maintain environmental integrity

Clean and disinfect dialysis machine

Conduct dialysis machine preparation

Perform dialysis machine alarm testing

Initiate Solution Delivery System (SDS) system

Complete and document CQI activities

Enter treatment data into clinical application

Review treatment sheets for completeness

Prepare initial patient chart for admission

Compile paperwork for chart placement

Prepare/print lab requisitions

prepare and store lab samples

Ensure collection of lab specimens by courier

Assist in collecting infection control audit information

Support staff and patient adherence to infection control

Follow infection control Policies and Procedures

Reinforce infection control education of patients

Follow all newly admitted patients through their transition

Assist with coordination of transition to patient’s modality

Assist with supply ordering and inventory for TCU
