What They're Looking For.
Must Have
A high school diploma or GED certificate, Certification in basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification (must be current or obtained within 30 days of employment), Ability to pass clinical competency testing, Physical ability to meet job responsibilities, Basic math and computer proficiency, One year of previous experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute hospital setting OR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation OR Completed an approved Patient Care Technician training OR Completed an approved certified medical assistant training OR One year of previous experience as an EMT or field medic (considered for adult ED positions only)
Nice to Have
Fluency in another language a plus, Previous medical/surgical experience preferred
What You'll Do.
Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients in the Critical Care department and their families.
Clinical services could include
but are not limited to: obtaining vital signs
assisting with hygiene
cleaning rooms and linens
and emotional support.
Perform a variety of environmental and inventory activities to ensure a safe
and appropriately equipped environment for patients
and staff in the Critical Care dept.
Contribute to the efficient operation of the Critical Care dept
ensuring quality patient/family clinical outcomes.

Work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
