Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC upon hire, Demonstrated communication skills to interact with courtesy, tact, empathy, and professionalism in daily interaction with patients, their families, clinical licensed and non-licensed staff, physicians, and management

Prior transport experience
What You'll Do.
Transport patients safely
Assist with lifting patients on and off beds
Move patients throughout the hospital
Recognize if patient is experiencing stress or other
Seek assistance for patient stress or issues
Alert appropriate personnel with problems
Inform supervisor/dispatcher of all delays within 10 minutes
Maintain transport equipment in a clean
Return all equipment to the appropriate location
Maintain and complete all departmental records
Complete proper handoff before removing patient from dept/unit
Check all patients ID bands
Complete two patient identifiers prior to transportation
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Understand and demonstrate safe lifting and transport techniques
Know and practice universal precautions as appropriate
Actively participate in safety initiatives
Participate in risk mitigating measures
Complete position and unit safety related competencies and
Perform other duties as assigned
