This intermediate-level clerical position will allow you to apply your professional service-orientation, good judgment and independent thinking in your daily work functions. **Responsibilities** * You will assure complete and accurate patient admissions/registrations according to organization policy and procedures and regulatory requirements * You will obtain inpatient bed assignments and processes inpatient admission, including arm banding, addressograph plate, and completion of necessary forms * You will pre-admit all scheduled inpatient, outpatients and ambulatory patients to facilitate a smooth and speedy admission/registration process * You will obtain direct admit information and enter a reservation in the computer system in order to notify other areas * You will complete comprehensive bedside or telephone interviews with the patient, relative, or their representative to obtain pertinent demographic insurance and/or third-party liability information * You will perform eligibility verification and resolves any discrepancies, determine the need for financial assistance recommendation and application, referring to the Financial Counselor where necessary **Requirements** * Graduate of a health vocational program such as Patient Access, Medical Assistance Medical Billing & Insurance OR * One (1) year of experience performi
