What You'll Do.
Prepare patients for CAT scan
Review patient orders
Educate patients about procedures
Administer contrast material
Set up CAT scan equipment
Select appropriate protocols
Obtain optimum quality images
Employ proper positioning
Instruct patients on instructions
Obtain essential patient information
Prepare intravenous contrast media
Operate Radiographic equipment
Operate Bone Density equipment
Observe safety procedures
Follow universal precautions
Verify patient identification
Route studies to PACS
Process studies onto CD
Maintain HIPPA compliance
Ensure ALARA is followed
Ensure Image Gently is followed
Maintain daily patient log
Maintain equipment cleanliness

Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
