As a Part-Time Cook in a prestigious local private school, you’ll work under the direction of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef supporting food service for two small boarding houses. You’ll help deliver consistent, high-quality meals and a welcoming dining experience for students—while keeping food safety, organization, and hospitality at the centre of everything you do. This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys a smaller, relationship-driven service style and takes pride in cooking that supports students’ dietary needs and well-being. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY * Prepare, cook, and serve meals and daily specials (and support catered/special events as needed) following recipe standards. * Use a range of cooking methods (roasting, grilling, steaming, poaching, boiling, baking) to execute the menu with consistency and care. * Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across all work areas and equipment. * Follow all FoodSafe/ServeSafe, health & safety, and sanitation requirements—including temperature and food safety logs. * Support ordering, receiving, inventory and FIFO rotation to minimize waste and protect food costs. * Provide friendly, professional service and build positive relationships with students, staff, and school partners. * Assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef with continuous improvement ideas, prep planning, and smooth daily execution. ## Qualifications WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? * FoodSafe and/or ServeSafe certification and a strong understanding of safe food handling and
