What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Familiarity with basic computer programs and communication tools like Gmail and Google Chat, Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, A keen eye for detail to ensure error-free and polished designs, Must be available for shift work., May be required to work various hours for coverage outside of normal business hours
Nice to Have
Proficiency in InDesign is preferred, but not required—we're willing to train the right candidate
What You'll Do.
Design engaging pages using InDesign
Collaborate effectively with editors at various NorCal publications to ensure content is presented clearly and effectively
Proofread all pages for spelling
and layout consistency to ensure high-quality production
Implement layout and composition techniques to enhance the reader's experience
Develop a working knowledge of the specific publications being designed and how that relates to the reader
Stay updated with design trends and bring innovative ideas to the table
Learn applicable softwares/platforms
