Full Job Description
**Job Details:** **Springdale, AR | 40 hours/week | 6-month relocation required if not local** **Job Description Summary:** Tyson Foods is seeking a Packaging Systems Intern to support Packaging Systems, Engineering, and Graphics teams within R&D. This role provides hands-on experience with packaging data, workflows, and real-world operations, while building skills in reporting, automation, and system optimization. **Key Responsibilities** * Support data entry, cleanup, validation, and reporting within packaging systems (e.g., PLM) * Assist with packaging workflows, including specifications, approvals, and documentation * Partner with Packaging Engineers and Graphics teams on data, specs, and project support * Participate in testing, trials, and data collection/analysis for packaging initiatives * Build basic reports and queries using tools like Excel and Power BI * Document processes, identify gaps, and support continuous improvement efforts * Leverage automation and AI tools (with guidance) to improve efficiency * Occasionally travel to plants/suppliers to gain operational insight * Contribute to team projects and day-to-day system/process needs **Program Highlights** * Hands-on experience with packaging systems and real-world operations * Exposure to automation, AI tools, and data-driven decision-making * Cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Graphics, and Operations * Plant and supplier exposure to build domain knowledge * Opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance **Requirements** **Education** * Junior, senior, or graduate student in Packaging, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field **Experience & Skills** * Basic Excel and data analysis skills required * Exposure to databases, SQL, or scripting preferred * Interest in AI, automation, or process improvement a plus **Core Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Effective communication and collaboration * Detail-oriented with ability to m
