What You'll Do.
Direct patient care technician's provision
Delegate tasks to direct patient care staff
Assess daily patient care needs
Monitor patient care staff
Participate in staff training
Participate in staff meetings
Ensure patient and family education
Provide ongoing patient education
Discuss and record education
Provide patient specific education
Ensure transplant awareness
Educate patients regarding lab values
Provide safe and effective care
Implement treatment prescriptions
Assess patients' response to treatment
Communicate problems or concerns
Identify and communicate patient issues
Initiate Nursing Assessment
Participate in patient evaluation
Take appropriate intervention
Provide hemodialysis access care
Administer interdialytic transfusions
Ensure accurate documentation
Review and enter physician lab orders
Prepare lab requisitions
Ensure correct lab tubes utilized
Identify and follow through missed labs
Ensure specimens are appropriately packaged
Ensure labs are directed and delivered
Report alert/panic lab results
Ensure lab results forwarded
Enforce company policies and procedures
Maintain shift operation
Meet with Clinical Manager
Collaborate and communicate with physicians
Provide assistance with prescription refills
Ensure physician orders transcribed
Oversee documentation of patient information
Maintain facility drug list
Maintain competency with emergency procedures
Initiate CPR and emergency measures
Complete patient care plans
Complete long-term programs
Complete Nursing History and Assessment
Complete Annual Standing Order Review
